Getting Started

“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.”

T.S.Eliot

Sometimes just making that first phone call is the hardest part of figuring out what’s going on with a child or young adult and how to make things better. We will help you identify your child’s strengths and challenges, and then build a plan based specifically on your child.

When we receive a call or meet our clients for the first time we are paying attention to everything they tell us. We build a thorough understanding of our students and their families so we can suggest solutions to their challenges that fit with each family’s values, financial resources and hopes for the future.

Our initial Education Planning Services include:

  • Student and family interviews
  • Interviews with other significant persons in the student’s life (with parent permission)
  • Review of all past health records (provided by parents)
  • Teacher, Doctor or Therapist interviews (with parent permission)
  • Review of all previous school records and evaluations (provided by parents)
  • Recommendations for updated or new evaluations as needed

We assist students, parents and helping professionals who want to find the best next steps toward a successful outcome in life for their child or a client they know needs something more.

Using our broad knowledge of school support services, day and boarding schools, supportive colleges or vocational training programs and therapeutic programs locally and nationally, we identify several options specifically chosen for each client.
